Soft, Sweet, Succulent…Red, Regal and Ravishing…this juicy,heart shaped vibrant beauty with a gorgeous green crown on its head is no wonder called the ‘Queen of fruits’. Besides its vivacious looks the fact that it is nutrient rich and full of antioxidants and health benefits makes it even more appealing. You are right! I am talking of a ‘strawberry’.
Did you know that a Strawberry a day keeps wrinkles away ;) Yes please! It’s that good. These super fruits are god’s gift to womankind…ok…ok…mankind too. So let’s not think any further and indulge in this inexpensively precious fruit and all its variations…just because we are worth it!

Strawberries and cream are a beautiful combination and have been relished by people all over the world. This dessert is a variation with strawberry in three forms , fresh fruit, strawberry crush and strawberry ice cream. When layered with fresh cream the sweetness is balanced wonderfully and makes for a delectable dessert…fit for the Queens….ok..ok..Kings too.

Strawberries and Cream
Ingredients:
- One cup fresh strawberries halved
- half a cup of bottled strawberry crush
- two scoops strawberry ice cream
- half a cup low fat fresh cream unsweetened (or less )
- a large glass
Method:
Place one third cup strawberries into the glass. Put a tablespoon of strawberry crush over them. Then a tablespoon of cream. Then half a scoop of strawberry ice cream. Build layers in the same order.
Note: Be quick so as to not melt the ice cream. you can add strawberries and strawberry crush in advance and keep in the fridge.
